Cape Town, South Africa: Naughty by Nature has been announced as the dedicated private couples retreat by Consensuality, a South African relationship and intimacy brand based in the Western Cape. Located in Wilderness on the Garden Route, the retreat is designed for one couple at a time and is led personally by Consensuality founder Carol Momberg. Couples can contact Consensuality directly or begin the private retreat enquiry process.
The retreat is based at an adults-only luxury cabin on a macadamia nut farm, offering couples a private setting away from shared retreat spaces, group programmes, and the pace of daily life.
Naughty by Nature has been developed for committed couples who want to reconnect in a more intentional way. The experience combines private accommodation, guided facilitation, emotional connection work, sensory elements, and structured intimacy exercises within a confidential Garden Route setting.
A South African Retreat Built Around Privacy
The announcement places Naughty by Nature at the centre of Consensuality’s retreat offering, with a clear focus on privacy, facilitation, and one-couple attention.
Unlike a standard romantic weekend or group retreat, the experience is not built around shared activities or a public retreat environment. Each retreat is reserved for one couple only, allowing the process to be shaped around the relationship itself.
The model has been created for couples who want space to communicate more honestly, reconnect emotionally, rebuild desire, and spend uninterrupted time together in a setting that supports privacy and focus.
“Many couples are still committed to each other, but they have lost the time, language, or confidence to reconnect properly,” says Carol Momberg, founder of Consensuality. “Naughty by Nature gives them a private space where they can slow down, be guided, and begin meeting each other differently again.”
One Couple at a Time
The one-couple-at-a-time structure is central to the retreat.
There are no group sessions, shared workshops, or public retreat dynamics. Each stay begins with a private enquiry process, allowing Consensuality to understand what the couple needs and whether the retreat is the right fit.
This private approach allows the retreat to support different relationship intentions, from rebuilding emotional closeness to improving communication, reawakening intimacy, or creating time for a deeper relationship reset.
Momberg leads each retreat personally, supported where appropriate by selected specialists, including private dining, bodywork, and boudoir photographer, depending on the retreat format.
Two Retreat Experiences
Consensuality currently offers two retreat formats at Naughty by Nature.
The Reconnection Retreat is a three-night long weekend experience for couples who want a focused introduction to the retreat process. It includes private accommodation, guided work with Carol, Consensuality workbooks and rituals, sensory experiences, and selected hospitality elements.
The Immersion Retreat is a longer five-to-seven-night experience for couples who want a deeper process. It includes the core elements of the Reconnection Retreat, with additional emotional and intimacy work, relational coaching, body-based support, private dining, and curated experiences.
Both retreats are available by enquiry only, with dates arranged privately.
Why Wilderness Was Chosen
Wilderness forms an important part of the retreat experience.
The Garden Route town is known for its natural setting, with mountains, lakes, forest, beaches, and open coastal landscapes. For Consensuality, the location supports the purpose of the retreat by giving couples a setting that feels removed from ordinary routine while still being accessible within South Africa.
Naughty by Nature sits on a macadamia nut farm, creating a quiet and private base for the retreat. The setting allows couples to step out of daily patterns and into a more focused environment for reconnection.
The location also gives the retreat a strong South African identity, positioning Wilderness and the Garden Route as a destination not only for scenic travel, but also for private, experience-led relationship retreats.
Part of the Consensuality Offering
Naughty by Nature forms part of the wider Consensuality ecosystem, which includes private retreats, relationship education, and direct consultation for couples.
The brand was developed around a common relationship pattern: couples may stay committed and functional while gradually losing emotional and physical connection. Consensuality’s work focuses on giving couples structure, language, and private environments to rebuild that connection before distance becomes the norm.
The retreat is therefore positioned as more than a place to stay. It is a facilitated experience for couples who want to give focused attention to their relationship in a confidential and carefully held setting.
“When couples arrive, they often know something needs to shift, but they do not always know where to begin,” says Carol. “The retreat creates a private structure where they can begin that process with support.”
Enquiries and Availability
Naughty by Nature retreats are offered privately and by enquiry only. Availability is limited because the retreat works with one couple at a time.
Couples can learn more about Naughty by Nature, visit Consensuality, contact the team directly, or begin the private retreat enquiry process.
