Questions about DStv price increases in South Africa | SA News


With Canal+’s acquisition of DStv owner MultiChoice, concerns have arisen that the pay-TV broadcaster’s price increases may be scheduled for earlier in the year.

MultiChoice’s financial year used to run from 1 April to 31 March. However, its financial year-end is shifting to 31 December to align with Groupe Canal+.

Historically, DStv price adjustments have taken effect at the start of MultiChoice’s financial year, with customers paying new prices from 1 April each year.
