
JOHANNESBURG – Schools across South Africa are on the brink of a significant financial shake-up, as the government moves to remove them from the VAT system, a proposal that could reshape the private education sector.
At the same time, the country’s largest private school group, Curro, is set for a historic transformation through a R7.2 billion acquisition by the Jannie Mouton Foundation, promising a future centred on access, quality, and non-profit education.
