South Africa has a proud single seater racing history, from our own Formula 1 championship, through 33 South African Grands Prix, many of them world championship rounds, and the rest. The older generation will forget never six-time champions John Love, Dave Charlton, and Ian Scheckter. Never mind our own World Champion, Jody.

Roll on a few decades and South Africa has just unveiled its newest single seater championship, Investchem MSA4. Had they raced against the 1964 South African Grand Prix…
