Conservation in South Africa is a loaded concept that not only concerns the protection of land, but also confronts the unresolved and sordid history tied to it.

The SANParks Conversation on Conservation, held during the Africa Travel Indaba event in Durban on 13 May 2026, highlighted the complexities surrounding conservation.
