In today’s world of marketing, activations within the traditional trade environment are still a remarkable way to access in touch with modern customers and maintain them engaged with your brand.
These activations are often interactive experiences that allow customers to acquire a more intimate experience with the brand’s messaging, products, or services. Traditional trade activations can vary from in-store promotions to consumer out-of-home events. Regardless of the type of activation, their purpose is to create a memorable experience that will secure customers talking about and engaging with your brand.
Isilumko Activate thrives within the traditional trade environment with significant knowledge, experience, and incredible case studies of activations they gain had the privilege of working on recently in partnership with some iconic brands.
Isilumko Activate creates an immersive experience with their activations, utilizing the space in the traditional trade environment to their advantage, to create an interactive and fun experience for the brand’s target audience.
Isilumko Activate allows for customer-brand interaction through activities such as sampling, giveaways, and product testers. The team likes to “get personal” and prides themselves to tailor each activation specifically to the campaign objectives and the desired audience the brand is wanting to reach. Their promotional and brand ambassador staff are trained so they can effectively communicate the brand and campaign message whilst activating in the field.
Some examples of traditional trade activations that Isilumko Activate has done include:
Chappies Cola Launch – Mondelez
The objective of this campaign was to create awareness of the modern Chappies Cola flavour through product trials across various out-of-home channels nationally, whilst also creating hype and excitement within the traditional trade environment. Activations were executed at taxi ranks, retail plaza’s and local spaza shops in multiple locations as section of an integrated marketing campaign.
Clorets – Mondelez
Isilumko Activate executed a tailored volume-driving campaign targeted specifically to the brand’s audience ensuring tremendous brand visibility, hype, and engagement from consumers. They used various activation mechanisms that assisted in really communicating the ethos of the Clorets brand: “a superior breath freshening gum with active ingredients.”
Gum & Candy; Kasi Street Soccer Hold Over – Mondelez
A campaign that drives PURPOSE! The Kasi Street Soccer Grasp Over in partnership with Mondelez, was ultimately intended for consumers to feel a sense of opportunity and optimism about life and the possibilities that lie ahead in each of their individual journeys. This campaign gave communities a sense of pride and encouraged them to celebrate the success stories that came from within their communities. Isilumko activated at taxi ranks, retail plazas, local community sporting events and spazas through a “buy, play & win” mechanic.
One of the incredible campaign competition prizes was a sports ground renovation prize to the value of R 10 000.00 that was won by a local gent from Soshanguve and used to upgrade the local sporting grounds within the community. A feel-good narrative indeed!
