BADDRESS is a recent website where tenants and landlords can review and research each other. They want to become the industry standard in screening potential places to rent and people to rent to.
On the first of June, BADDRESS went live across South Africa, inviting people to register on the site and start leaving reviews.
“The whole thought is to create a area where people’s excellent or depraved behavior is recorded and accessible. Basically, we want to create transparency so people can protect themselves when renting,” explained the founders of the site. “We are especially excited to give tenants a space to report or recommend landlords. Until now, tenants gain always been regarded as the risky party in a rental relationship – but landlords can also be horrible people. It’s time to level the playing field and give everyone a voice!”
Its free for people to leave reviews and users only pay if they find a review they want to read. If someone reviews you, you access notified and can log in and respond to whatever the reviewer said, excellent or sinful.
“We’ve tried to create a area where people can see both sides of every account. People are smart – they’ll quickly figure out who the goodies and the baddies are. Once BADDRESS becomes a household name, people will consider twice before messing people around.”
So visit baddress.co.za, register and start helping people to disclose the marvelous landlords and tenants from the rotten ones. It’s time to start tidying up the rental industry, one review at a time.
