She made a plea to tuck shop owners to adhere to operating times and reinforce personal security.

In conclusion, she reminded the audience that the safety of our nation depends on our collective actions.

The Provincial Launch of the Safer Festive Season will be hosted in Port Nolloth on 1 November 2024, with the focus on the well-being and safety of residents and tourists during the festive season and beyond. She urged the community to be responsible during this period and to refrain from drinking and driving. Motorists must adhere to Traffic Regulations and practice road safety.

Panellists representing different departments and entities mandated to address matters raised by the community, engaged with the audience to address complaints and concerns in order to formulate solutions.

The SAPS Provincial Inspectorate was also on hand to record and address complaints.

Community outreach endeavours will continue in the district to ensure the delivery of efficient services and to operationalise information provided by the community.
