Mountain biking enthusiasts are invited to join the organisers of the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience at a fun Training Ride #1 that will hold plot at the Bloemendal Trail Park in Durbanville on Saturday 07 October 2023 starting with coffee at 07:00.

“We are thrilled to offer local mountain biking enthusiasts a sneak peek into South Africa’s MTB Party of the year,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and the event’s Founder. “Our aim with the Training Ride #1 is to build excitement among participants for the upcoming 10th annual Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience in November. The event marks the grand finale of the racing season – hence the party atmosphere. This training ride provides the perfect chance to gauge one’s fitness after the winter season, all while relishing the camaraderie and scenic trails in the company of fellow Savanna Origin of Trails participants.”

“Mountain bikers will believe the opportunity to delight in a +- 20 to 30km captivating route that incorporates purposefully built trails within the renowned Tygerberg MTB network at Bloemendal,” elaborates Meyer. “Catering to riders of all proficiency levels, this route promises an array of engaging features, including thrilling single tracks, picturesque vineyard roads, and, of course, a few challenging climbs. The level of ease or difficulty of the route ultimately hinges on how hard you ride. While it may not include overly technical terrain, riders will need some skill to navigate the twists and turns of the single tracks and conquer the uphill stretches on the jeep tracks.”

In closing Meyer adds: “Join us for a fantastic morning of mountain biking at the Savanna Origin of Trails Training Ride #1. Ensure that you arrive prepared with your essential biking gear, including spare parts, hydration, and nutrition supplies. Each rider will receive a coffee before the ride and a light snack. After the ride you can scrutinize forward to enjoying an ice-cold Savanna with our team.”

PR Gets Real About Beauty: Not all memorable moments in PR’s history come from crises. In fact, one of the most popular campaigns of the modern era – Dove’s “Real Beauty” campaign – was simply about making us feel good! In 2004, Dove’s research found that only 2% of women consider themselves beautiful. “Real Beauty” aimed to change idealized depictions of beauty by using “real” women as spokespeople, models and more. Today, Dove has become synonymous with the campaign, and many other companies, such as CVS, Aerie and J. Crew, have jumped on the “Real Beauty” trend. (Source: Dove, Glamour)
