South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first in their World Test Championship (WTC) final contest against Australia at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Wednesday morning.
“I think we have selected the best team for these conditions. Massive [occasion]. You can hear the South African accents as well in the stands. Should be a spectacle,” Temba Bavuma, the South African captain, shared after the toss.
The skipper indicated that the surface looks good, but overhead conditions dictate that they bowl first.
