South African National Credit Regulator hacked | SA News


Ransomware group DragonForce has claimed responsibility for an attack on the National Credit Regulator (NCR) and has published over 42GB of data taken from the agency on the dark web.

The NCR disclosed in December that it had suffered a cyberattack, which disrupted certain systems. However, it did not reveal any details about the compromise.

“As is common with cyber incidents of this nature, we do not know the identities of the individuals responsible for this criminal conduct,” the NCR stated.
