South Africa’s first dedicated fleet charging network hits 18,884 sessions in Gauteng | SA News

WattSpot, a dedicated battery-electric vehicle charging network for commercial fleets, recorded 18,884 charging sessions across its 3 Gauteng sites in its first 3 months of operation. The joint venture between Aeversa and Valternative Energy confirmed plans to install more than 200 charge points across South Africa by 2027.

For fleet operators weighing battery-electric vehicles, reliable charging uptime, coverage on high-traffic routes, and lower running costs per kilometre determine whether a pilot is viable.
