
JOHANNESBURG – The late ambassador and former chairperson of the National council of provinces Mniniwa Johannes Mahlangu will be honored with a special category 2 funeral declared by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Ambassador Mahlangu passed away at the age of 72 last Sunday on his way to hospital after a short illness.
He served as the high commissioner of South Africa to the Republic of Kenya, as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the federal republic of Somalia and also as permanent representative to the United Nations office in Nairobi.
