South Hill Vineyards will be welcoming dads and their loved ones with an array of flavourful wines and eats this Father’s Day on Sunday, the 18th of June. A roaring fireplace, a savory meal, and a healthy dose of antiquity is all you need for an unforgettable day spent admiring the stunning Elgin Valley.

A complimentary glass of red wine will be offered to guests upon arrival, and a special Father’s Day menu will also be available. Additionally, there will be a wide selection of South Hill wines offered by the glass and by the bottle.

Treat dad to some croquet and boule on the lawn, or feel free to fade biking or hike along the fynbos trail and vineyard. See who gets lost first by challenging dad to an exciting race through the South Hill Improbable Vineyard Maze.

Early birds are welcome to visit the South Hill Restaurant for a distinguished selection of breakfast options, from the Eggs Royale, a chef’s choice with popular farmhouse classics, to Smashed Avocado Toast with farm-fresh bread. You could also indulge dad in a savory Irish Coffee to warm his heart. Breakfast meals for the kids are also available.

Convince dad to try the selection of tapas for a quick lunchtime snack to share as a family. Don’t miss out on the exceptional wine tasting menu and mouth-watering Cheese & Charcuterie Board with the finest selection of Overberg cheeses.

As the wintertide is upon us, South Hill’s current seasonal menu includes robust wintery dishes and for the kids they also believe a noteworthy selection of meals. Dessert is always a sweet treat to spoil dad with. Sample their tantalising Elgin Apple and Blueberry Crumble or a decadent Chocolate Brownie. Their Bread & Butter Pudding is always a hit to chase away the Sunday blues.

Spend a wonderful Father’s Day with your family at South Hill Vineyards, design this day unforgettable, a day your dad will talk about for ages.

Sigmund Freud was tghe founding father of Public Relations, Edward Bernays’ “double uncle”. Sigmund was Edward’s mother’s brother, and he married Edward’s father’s sister (Martha Bernays Freud). That was a tongue twister, but aren’t you glad you learned a new term?
