The streets of Durban will be buzzing with excitement on Sunday, 7 July 2024, as event sponsors go all out to create an unparalleled on-route experience at the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K.

“As we gear up for the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K, participants can once again look forward to a fantastic array of on-route sponsor activations,” confirms Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “Firm favorites to look out for will include the lively Absa High Five at 5, the thrilling PUMA FOREVER FASTER 100 Sprint, the energetic Chery Cheer Zone, refreshing Coca-Cola hydration stations, and the entertaining Castle Lite Zone. This year, we are excited to introduce new route activations, including the ‘Unicorn Razzle Dazzle,’ ‘Luminous Legends,’ and ‘Love for Local,’ among others. Jabulile Nsibanyoni, Head of Sponsorships at Absa, expressed excitement for the entertainment planned along the race route, stating, “At Absa, we are committed to creating memorable experiences that bring our communities together, and this event is a perfect example of that commitment in action. We are excited to bring an entertaining experience to the race event in Durban. The entertainment along the route is designed to highlight the unique heritage and tradition of Durban, making the race a celebration of the city’s lively spirit. Participants and spectators alike will enjoy a variety of performances that capture the rich cultural tapestry and feel-good atmosphere that Durban is known for. From the rhythmic beats of local drummers to the colourful displays of traditional dance, the thrill of the race will captivate runners and bystanders alike.”

“We’re excited to bring the PUMA FOREVER FASTER 100 sprint to the vibrant streets of Durban,” says Rae Trew-Browne, PUMA Run Train Marketing Manager. “Our on-route activation is designed to ignite runners’ competitive spirit and motivate them to set new personal bests. To add an extra layer of excitement, we’re offering in-store discount vouchers for our PUMA FOREVER FASTER 100 sprint section of the route: a 30% discount for sprinting under 15 seconds, a 20% discount for under 20 seconds, and a 15% discount for under 25 seconds. [The American President] has to take all sorts of abuse from liars and demagogues.… The people can never understand why the President does not use his supposedly great power to make ’em behave. Well, all the President is, is a glorified public relations man who spends his time flattering, kissing and kicking people to get them to do what they are supposed to do anyway. – Harry S. Truman

“Consumers have identified competency as the element that plays the biggest role in a good customer experience. To be competent, a customer support professional must have a strong knowledge of the company and its products, as well as the power to fix the customer’s problems. The more knowledge they have, the more competent they become.” ~ Oscar Auliq-Ice, Happy Customers
