Success for World’s First Dedicated Global BPO Accreditation

17 June 2026 by Guest

The world’s first ever independent accreditation for the BPO sector has marked its first year since its launch with over 20 partnerships announced so far and hundreds in the pipeline.

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) involves delegating non-core business functions—like customer support, IT, and back-office tasks—to third-party service providers.

The GBPO Solutions accreditation was founded in 2025 by respected industry expert David Neale to provide companies procuring BPO support, such as contact centre services in the utilities, financial services, retail, healthcare and telecommunications sectors, with the confidence they are partnering with a credible and trusted organisation.

The accreditation provides assurance to prospective partners that a BPO provider has been rigorously assessed and independently validated for their claims about people, processes, policies, and technology.

David Neale, CEO of GBPO Solutions said: “Over the past year we have seen significant demand for independently verified BPO providers, and that appetite is reflected in the success of the accreditation.

“The response from both buyers and providers has been extremely positive. Buyers of BPO services can gain so much confidence they are partnering with a trusted provider and be reassured about our unbiased partnerships as we receive 0% commission from the accredited BPO’s we endorse.

"Trust and transparency, and reduced risk through independent verification, have become increasingly important within the outsourcing sector, especially when bold claims on what BPOs can deliver has never been higher. I believe the accreditation is just the shift the industry needed. It represents an important step forward in building trust, raising standards, and strengthening the sector's global reputation.

"We have seen hundreds of BPOs registering their interest. Most importantly many clients who find their ideal partner have commented how we have helped them to navigate the complexity of the market. As our support for clients is fee-free, we are seeing huge interest which makes for an exciting second year."

Mr Neale added that the BPOs who have successfully gained accreditation in the first year cover all major continents and BPO hubs, with South Africa leading the way with the highest numbers of Accredited partners.

Earlier this year, findings released by industry analyst Ryan Strategic Advisory, found that 94% of companies are more likely to choose an accredited BPO provider – underlining the growing importance of independent validation within the outsourcing sector.

Polo Leteka always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but couldn\’t quite decide on which direction to go in. She spent several years in the private and public sectors, and during her tenure in Government she knew she wanted to have a greater impact on helping South Africans follow their dreams by becoming entrepreneurs. She launched Capital Partners, an SME enterprise advisory and fund managing service firm. She brought two partners into the business to expand the services they could offer. Leteka went on to become one of the \”dragons\’ on the South African edition of Dragons\’ Den, investing in start-up businesses.
