Johannesburg, Gauteng. Synkra Technologies, a South African software company based in Johannesburg, has opened Programme Access, an initiative that gives business programmes, incubators, accelerators and similar organisations free access to Synkra software for the businesses they support. The initiative is open to organisations across South Africa that work directly with small and growing businesses, including business incubators, accelerators, enterprise development programmes, youth entrepreneurship programmes, university innovation hubs, township business programmes and sector specific business programmes.

Under Programme Access, qualifying programmes receive an allocation of Synkra software workspaces for businesses in their cohort. Each allocation is agreed with the programme. Businesses onboarded under the initiative receive access to Synkra software as it becomes available, with the first product already live and a second close to release.

Synkra builds software for small and growing businesses. Its first product is a customer communication platform that brings website chat and email conversations into one inbox, with an AI Agent that answers routine customer questions using information approved by the business and passes a conversation to a person when it needs one. A second product, a business workflow automation platform, is near completion. Onboarding and integration work is in its final stage, and release is expected within weeks.

Participating programmes receive their own Synkra workspace, a dedicated onboarding page for their cohort, and a monthly report showing how many businesses activated their accounts and how the software is being used. The report is designed for programme directors who need something concrete to include in funder updates, board reports and programme reviews.

There is no cost to the programme or to the participating businesses. The only requirement on the programme is that it shares the onboarding link with the businesses it supports. There is no selling, no commission structure and no additional administration. Synkra handles setup, onboarding and product support for each business that signs up.

Programmes interested in Programme Access can contact Synkra Technologies at hello@synkra.co.za with the name of the programme, an approximate cohort size, and a short description of what the programme does. Applications are reviewed by the Synkra team, and the first programmes accepted under the initiative will begin onboarding during the current quarter.

Synkra Technologies is a South African software company based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. It builds and owns business software products for small and medium businesses and other organisations. More information about Synkra Technologies and Programme Access is available at www.synkra.co.za.

A strategic combination of paid, earned and owned media is critical to building a strong brand—which has introduced a new overlap between PR and marketing roles. This has also contributed to a need for more data-driven communications.
