KZN CoGTA calls on matriculants to apply for bursaries

The KwaZulu-Natal Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) has called on those who have completed matric to apply for bursaries offered by the department in the 2025 academic year.

The bursaries are aimed at students who reside within KwaZulu-Natal for studies towards a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in various fields of study.

KwaZulu-Natal CoGTA MEC, Thulasizwe Buthelezi, said the bursaries will be awarded to 10 deserving students, and will cover tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation, and all costs associated with the study.

Successful candidates will enter a bursary contract for the number of years equivalent to the duration of their qualification.

“Students must email statements of symbols and letter of acceptance from any accredited South African university,” Buthelezi said.

Application can be submitted via email to Judith.mchunu@kzncogta.gov.za .

The deadline for applications is on Friday, 17 January 2025. – SAnews.gov.za
