Talented Voice Behind Betway SA20 Anthem Booshle G. To Headline Halftime Show at Final

8 December 2024 by Alan

Get ready for a week of incredible cricket, entertainment, and an electrifying atmosphere as tickets for the Betway SA20 Playoffs and Final go on sale today! From Tuesday, 4 February 2025, to Saturday, 8 February 2025, fans will be treated to the biggest cricketing spectacle of the summer watching the final four teams battle it out for the opportunity to be crowned Season 3 Champions.

Following two sold out seasons, the Betway SA20 Final, hosted at the iconic Bullring in Johannesburg, promises more than just high-stakes cricket. Fans will have prime seats to a special halftime performance by Booshle G. – the sensational artist behind this season’s campaign anthem: Take Me Home. Known for his soulful pop and infectious energy, Booshle G. will light up the stage with a live performance that promises feel-good vibes and moves to keep the crowd on their feet.

“I come from a community where every dream feels like a long shot,” said Booshle G, whose full name is Buhle Gayika. “But cricket, just like music, has always been a way for me to connect with people and share my story. I’ve always believed that if you put your heart into something, the world will listen—and that’s what I did with this song.”

Hailing from Kariega (formerly Uitenhage) in the Eastern Cape, Booshle G’s journey to success has been one of passion and perseverance. He discovered his love for music while involved in his local church choir, where he honed his craft and developed the sound that now resonates with audiences across South Africa. His music, shaped by his experiences growing up in a small town, speaks to the power of dreams, determination, and connection.

“The choir was where I truly found my voice,” he reflects. “It was there I learned how to connect with people through music. Growing up in a small town, I didn’t have the same opportunities as others, but I always knew that music was the key to something bigger.”

The road to the Final starts with Qualifier 1 on 4 February at St George’s Park in Gqeberha, where the top two teams face off for a direct spot in the Final. Next up is the Eliminator on 5 February at Centurion, where teams placed third and fourth compete to stay in the competition. On 6 February at the same venue, the last shot at glory for the Final takes place between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator.

There will be more on offer at the Playoffs this season. Fans can look forward to an array of family-friendly activities, including the return of on-field cricket for kids before the match starts—so don’t forget your bats and balls—along with glitter makeup artists, mirror men, inflatable butterflies and stilt walkers to keep the fun alive. Instant cash prizes during the innings break add to the excitement, while the chance to experience hospitality upgrades ensures a VIP feel for lucky attendees. Playoff tickets across the two venues range from R105 to R350 with a 20% discount for scholars and pensioners.

New to Season 3 of the Betway SA20 Playoffs is the Nightwatchman’s Pass, a ticket that provides families with the ultimate day/night weekday cricket experience. The Nightwatchman’s Pass gives you access to a kid-friendly and an alcohol-free zone, offering exclusive perks such as free popcorn, player signing sessions, and dedicated parking. Kids can also come along in their PJs for a hassle-free bedtime post-match!

All roads lead to Wanderers Stadium on Saturday, 8 February, where the two best teams will contest the coveted Betway SA20 trophy in a day filled with world-class cricket and vibrant entertainment.

In addition to the halftime performance, those seeking a lively atmosphere will want to secure tickets in the Party Pavilion, an over-18s zone featuring jacuzzies and great vibes to keep the energy high. For a premium experience, the Sips & Sixes Terrace offers shaded seats, exclusive food and beverage options, a gin bar, and a limited-edition Betway SA20 Final merchandise giveaways, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy on this unforgettable day. Tickets range from R100 to R380. There are also prime hospitality packages available for those wanting an exclusive experience to the matches.

Whether you’re looking for family fun, thrilling cricket, or a party atmosphere, the Betway SA20 Playoffs and Final have something for everyone. Tickets are limited, so don’t miss out on the cricketing event of the year.
