Clearwater Mall is closing out March with a weekend packed full of live entertainment, outdoor fitness and family activities and the calendar is looking very good indeed.

Live Music in the Piazza | Friday, 20 March | 17:00 to 21:00 | Free

Friday evening gets a proper upgrade when the Piazza comes alive with live music on 20 March. From 5pm to 9pm, a lineup of talented vocalists and instrumentalists will perform across the evening, turning an ordinary dinner out into something far more memorable. Book a table at any of the Piazza’s restaurants and let the music do the rest – or simply pull up a spot and enjoy the atmosphere. Either way, this is the kind of Friday worth clearing your diary for.

Silent FAB FIT Mash-Up Class | Saturday, 21 March | 08:00 – 09:30 | R50

Start Saturday morning with serious energy. Brought to you by Burn Fitness, the Silent FAB FIT Mash-Up Class combines 45 minutes of Boxfit with a 45-minute Yoga session – a proper workout that covers both ends of the spectrum. At just R50, the morning comes with a reward: every participant who books and pays online receives a bacon and egg roll or croissant with a filter coffee or tea at Doppio Zero after class. Spaces are capped at 75 participants, so booking early is strongly advised. Bring your own mat.

Children’s Reading and Craft Session at Exclusive Books | Saturday, 21 March | 11:00 – 13:00 | Free

The weekend rounds off with a free reading and craft session at Exclusive Books Clearwater Mall. Themed around Eric Carle’s beloved The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the session is designed for children aged 5 to 9. RSVP online to secure your child’s spot.

Prianka Singh Rodgers, Marketing Manager of Clearwater Mall, says: “March is about bringing people together, whether that’s over a shared meal with great music in the background, a high-energy morning workout or an afternoon of stories and creativity with the kids. These events reflect what Clearwater Mall is all about: a place where the whole community can show up, connect and have a genuinely good time.”

Clearwater Mall, situated in Roodepoort, is one of Johannesburg’s leading retail and lifestyle destinations, offering a diverse mix of shopping, dining and entertainment. The mall regularly hosts community-focused events that go well beyond the retail experience.

How do you get into magazines? How can you get on TV or in your local newspaper? What can you do so others will take notice of your art? When I was first trying to get noticed, all of these questions went through my mind. After a lot of trial of error and a lot of reading, I began to understand the world of Public Relations. – Mark Edward

But the thought leaders on talk radio and Fox do more than shape opinion. Backed by their own wing of the book-publishing industry and supported by think tanks that increasingly function as public-relations agencies, conservatives have built a whole alternative knowledge system, with its own facts, its own history, its own laws of economics. – David Frum
