Momentum Multiply Titans have once again underlined their status as South Africa’s most successful and consistent cricket franchise, leading the way in the national team selections for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be held in India and Sri Lanka from 07 February to 08 March 2026.

The Sky Blues lead all franchises in World Cup representation, contributing six of the 15 players selected. The Titans contingent features Aiden Markram (captain), Lungi Ngidi, Marco Jansen, Donovan Ferreira, Corbin Bosch and Dewald Brevis, reinforcing the union’s reputation for consistently producing elite Proteas talent.

Markram’s appointment as captain of the Proteas is a powerful endorsement of Titans Cricket’s leadership culture and high-performance environment. Adding to the pride of the franchise, Dewald Brevis, Donovan Ferreira and Corbin Bosch have all earned their maiden ICC Men’s T20 World Cup call-ups, marking significant milestones in their careers.

Titans Cricket CEO, Dr Jacques Faul said Markram’s leadership, alongside the experience of Ngidi and Jansen, continues to set the standard at international level, “Aiden Markram is a proven Protea leader who has consistently carried the responsibility of representing South Africa with distinction. His appointment as captain once again highlights his calm authority, cricketing intelligence and the respect he commands within the Proteas setup. Alongside him, Lungi Ngidi and

Marco Jansen have been pillars of the national team over a number of years, delivering consistently at the highest level and setting the benchmark for what it means to represent South Africa,” said Dr Faul.

Brevis, who made his T20 International debut in 2023 against Australia, is famous for his explosive and fearless batting, while Bosch brings valuable all-round capability, offering impact with both bat and ball. Ferreira’s inclusion further strengthens the squad, with his versatility and power-hitting expected to add depth and balance to the Proteas line-up on the world stage.

South Africa, drawn in Group D alongside Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates, will open their World Cup campaign against Canada on 09 February in Ahmedabad.

Dr Faul said the selection was a clear reflection of the franchise’s enduring excellence and long-standing commitment to player development, “To see young Titans such as Dewald Brevis, Donovan Ferreira and Corbin Bosch rise onto the world stage is incredibly special and truly speaks to who we are as a franchise. Their growth, hunger and readiness for international cricket reflect the strength of our pathways and our long-standing commitment to developing Proteas players. Moments like these reaffirm the Titans’ reputation as a leading brand in South African cricket and a consistent producer of world-class talent,” he added.

Momentum Multiply Titans continue to set the standard in domestic cricket, consistently producing players capable of performing on the biggest stages and carrying the Sky-Blue flag with pride across the globe.

The All Blacks are one of the most successful teams in sporting history – The New Zealand All Blacks are one of the most successful teams in sporting history. Since 1903 when they played their first ever game, they have a win percentage of 78% in nearly 600 games. That stat is absolutely crazy when you think about it. They’ve also won 3 Rugby World Cups (though arguably should have won all of them apart from 1991 and 2003). They were also the first rugby team to win 500 test matches, one of many records establishing the All Blacks the world’s best team. Can you imagine winning 78% of all your games you play!?

Rugby was originally called something else entirely – If historians are to be believed, the game we now know as rugby was initially played over 2,000 years ago by the Romans. The game was known by the Latin name Harpastum, derived from the Greek term for seize, which seems rather apt given the aim of the game.
