JOHANNESBURG: It was a decisive day of Hollywoodbets Pro20 action in the Hollywoodbets Pro Series, as dominant performances from the Fidelity Titans Ladies, DP World Lions Women and North West Dragons Women set the tone in a round marked by commanding wins.

At the WSB Newlands Cricket Ground, Lions registered a commanding 37-run win over Western Province.

Batting first, the Lions posted a competitive 142/ 6 from their 20 overs, led by a composed unbeaten 57 off 49 balls from Sunette Viljoen-Louw.

Madison Landsman added momentum with a brisk 33 off 30 deliveries, while Raisibe Ntozakhe chipped in with 17 off 17.

In reply, Western Province were bowled out for 105 in 19.4 overs, despite a quick 20 off 10 balls from Tatum Le Roux and contributions from Leah Jones (19 off 15) and Kelsey Adams (18 off 20).

The Lions’ bowling attack proved decisive, with Relebohile Mkhize (3/15), Kgomotso Rapoo (3/15) and Sarah Nettleton (1/15) applying relentless pressure to seal a comprehensive win.

Meanwhile at the JB Marks Oval, North West Dragons Women cruised to an eight-wicket victory over the Garden Route Badgers Women.

Batting first, the Badgers were dismissed for 119, with Izel Cilliers top-scoring with a patient 53 off 51 balls whilst Nadine Moodley added 37 off 31.

The Dragons’ bowlers were outstanding, led by Nthabiseng Nini (4/21) and Katlego Setlhodi (3/23), who shared seven wickets between them.

Dragons made light work of the chase, reaching 120 for 2 in just 15.3 overs.

Veteran batter Mignon du Preez anchored the innings with an unbeaten 52 off 39 deliveries, well supported by Lizri de Villiers, who struck a fluent 48 off 36 balls.

Verunissa Reddy added 9 as the hosts secured maximum points.

In Pretoria, Fidelity Titans Ladies delivered a dominant all-round performance to secure an emphatic 87-run victory over the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Ladies.

Batting first, the Titans posted an imposing 169 for 6 from their 20 overs. Simone Lourens led the charge with a composed 56 off 49 deliveries, anchoring the innings, while Anneke Bosch provided acceleration with a brisk 39 off just 22 balls. Miane Smit added valuable runs in the center order with 29 off 28, ensuring the Titans set a challenging target.

In response, the Dolphins struggled to build momentum and were restricted to 82/9 at the end of their 20 overs.

Yasmeen Khan top-scored with 25 off 28 balls, while Courtney Gounden contributed 14 off 25.

Nobulumko Baneti remained unbeaten on 9, but wickets fell regularly at the other end.

The Titans’ bowling attack was outstanding, led by Sophia Smale, who claimed 3 for 15 in her four overs. She was well supported by Angel Mngwenya (3 for 12) and Masabata Klaas (1 for 16), as the Dolphins were kept under sustained pressure throughout the innings.

Despite a fighting effort with the ball from Nobulumko Baneti (2 for 49), along with support from Micaela Andrews (1 for 18) and J D Figueiredo (1 for 25), the Dolphins were unable to contain the Titans’ batting depth.
