Naamsa, the Automotive Business Council of South Africa, has released the local new-car sales statistics for September 2026. We take a closer look at the top 10 best-selling car brands in the ninth month of the year.

In September 2026, Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) continued to lead the local sales race, with the Japanese automaker’s local arm registering 15 366 new vehicles sold in the ninth month of the year. Compared to August 2026, that’s an increase of 1 552 units.
