TTOM 2027 Entries Open for Night Run, Friendship Run, Trail Runs and Ultra & Half Marathon Ballot

Entries for the Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD Night Run, International Friendship Run and Trail Runs open today (Monday, 03 August 2026), while the Ballot Entry Process for the iconic HALF MARATHON and ULTRA MARATHON opens on Wednesday, 05 August 2026.

“The opening of entries always marks the beginning of a special journey as runners start planning their Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD experience,” says Chris Goldschmidt, Chairperson of the TWO OCEANS MARATHON NPC. “Whether you’re hoping to earn a place in the iconic HALF MARATHON or ULTRA MARATHON through the Ballot, or joining us for the Night Run, International Friendship Run or Trail Runs, every event forms part of a celebration of our running community. We look forward to welcoming thousands of participants back to Cape Town in 2027 to experience the passion, camaraderie and beauty that have made the Two Oceans Marathon the World’s Most Beautiful Marathon.”

Highlighting the unique experiences that await participants, Wade Bromfield, Event Director of the Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD, says the 2027 event promises something special for every runner, from first-timers to seasoned TWO OCEANS veterans.

“The 2027 Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD promises an unforgettable week of running, with each event offering a unique opportunity to experience Cape Town and the incredible spirit of our running community. From the excitement of the Night Run and the camaraderie of the International Friendship Run to the adventure of the Trail Runs and the prestige of the HALF MARATHON and ULTRA MARATHON, there’s truly something for everyone. We encourage runners to familiarise themselves with the entry timelines and Ballot process. With both the HALF MARATHON and ULTRA MARATHON boasting an increased capacity of 21 000 runners, we look forward to welcoming even more participants to what promises to be another unforgettable edition of this iconic event.”

About the Ballot System: Ballot applications will be taken from 10:00 on Wednesday 05 August until 22:00 on Sunday 16 August. The successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified on Tuesday 18 August, and will have until Monday 30 August to complete their entry payment.

1. Wednesday 31 March 2027 / Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD / Night Run
Capacity: 5000
Distance: 8km

Entry Fee:
• R320.00 / South African Athletes

• £14.00 / International Athletes & Rest of Africa Athletes
Fees are subject to the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment.

Entries Open: Monday 03 August 2026

2. Thursday 01 April 2027 / Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD / International Friendship Run
Capacity: 3000
50% allocated to SA runners and 50% allocated to Internationals.

Distance: 4.5km

Entry Fee:
• R 250.00 / South African Athletes

• £11.00 / International Athletes & Rest of Africa Athletes
Fees are subject to the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment.

Entries Open: Monday 03 August 2026

3. Friday 02 April 2027 / Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD / Trail Run
Capacity: 1500
Start & Finish Venue: UCT Rugby Fields
Distance & Entry Fee:

South African Athletes
• 24km / R 950.00
• 18km / R750.00
• 12km / R550.00

International Athletes & Rest of Africa Athletes
• 24km: £ 43.00
• 18km: £ 34.00
• 12km: £ 25.00
Fees are subject to the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment.

4. Saturday 03 April 2027 / Totalsports TWO OCEANS HALF MARATHON powered by BYD
Capacity: 21 000
Finish Venue: UCT Rugby Fields
Distance: 21,1km
Entry Fees:
• Licensed SA Athletes: R450.00
• Unlicensed SA Athletes: R450.00 plus R95.00 temp license

• TOMi Licensed SA Runner: R1450.00
• TOMi Unlicensed SA Runner: R1450.00 plus R95.00 temp license
Limited to 1000 entrants on a first come first served basis

• Rest of Africa Athletes: £37.00
• International Athletes: £98.00
Fees are subject to the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment.

Entries Open:
• Blue Number Club (BNC): Wednesday 15 – Wednesday 22 July 2026
• Ballot: Wednesday 05 August 2026

Please Note: International and Rest of Africa Athletes do not need to apply for the ballot.

5. Sunday 04 April 2027 / Totalsports TWO OCEANS ULTRA MARATHON powered by BYD
Capacity: 21 000
Finish Venue: UCT Rugby Fields
Distance: 56km
Entry Fees:
• Licensed SA Athletes: R840.00
• TOMi SA Runner: R1840.00
Limited to 1000 entrants on a first come first served basis

• Rest of Africa Athletes: £46.00
• International Athletes: £140.00
Fees are subject to the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment.

• Blue Number Club (BNC): Wednesday 15 – Wednesday 22 July 2026
• Ballot: Wednesday 05 August 2026
