uMngeni Ranked #1 in KZN for Ensuring Access to Essential Services

23 September 2025 by Guest

Dear Editor

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) welcomes the Provincial Spatial Integration Report 2024/25, that has placed the DA-run uMngeni Local Municipality as the number one (1) municipality in the province for ensuring households have access to essential services.

The 93.75% access score reflects the number of households with the minimum level of access to essential services in uMngeni.

We are proud of the positive strides that uMngeni Mayor Chris Pappas, the Deputy Mayor Sandile Mnikathi and their team continue to make in this municipality.

In just one term, the DA has delivered more than the ANC ever did in over 25 years.

The 2026 Local Government Elections, give the residents of uMngeni as well as across the province an opportunity to vote for progress in their municipalities,

The DA continues being a beacon of Hope in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Conceded by the opposition, DA governments across the country continue being effective and delivering efficient services.

Regards

Francois Rodgers MPL
DA KwaZulu-Natal Leader
