UNITED NATIONS HQ NEW YORK — Leadership, international cooperation, and commitment to development were at the heart of KINGDOM EXCELLENCE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (NPC)’s participation in the high-level meetings held in New York during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Joseph Kwaku Mihaye, the Institute, which holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), was represented by Bishop Donald and Prophetess Blessing OR, as it Missions Directorate and Diplomatic corporation.
This international mission reflects the Institute’s vision: to promote responsible leadership, encourage dialogue among nations, and contribute to discussions on the major challenges facing the world today.
Three Strategic Meetings Addressing Global Challenges
The delegation participated in three major meetings devoted to issues essential to the future of populations worldwide.
On September 23, discussions marking the 40th anniversary of the United Nations Declaration on the Right to Development highlighted issues of economic justice, equal opportunities, and international cooperation.
On September 24, discussions on sea-level rise addressed climate challenges and the threats facing island nations and coastal populations.
Finally, on September 25, the meeting on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response emphasized the need to strengthen healthcare systems and international solidarity.
These three meetings provided the Institute’s representatives with an opportunity to follow international discussions and exchange views with various participants on issues relating to development, the environment, and public health.
Diplomatic Engagements in Support of an International Vision
The mission was also marked by exchanges with several international figures, including ministers, ambassadors, representatives of international institutions, and officials involved in various areas of cooperation.
These interactions enabled Bishop Donald and Prophetess Blessing OR to establish contacts and open new avenues for dialogue with stakeholders from different countries.
They align with KINGDOM EXCELLENCE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (NPC)’s ambition to foster international relations, institutional cooperation, and the mobilization of expertise around shared objectives.
Leadership as a Driving Force for Transformation
At the helm of the Institute, Dr. Joseph Kwaku Mihaye champions a vision of leadership that combines responsibility, excellence, social commitment, and international engagement.
From this perspective, leadership goes beyond holding positions of authority. It also involves the ability to bring people together, encourage cooperation, and contribute to initiatives capable of sustainably improving people’s living conditions.
The Institute’s Special Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC provides an institutional framework that enables it to participate, in accordance with applicable procedures, in United Nations activities open to civil society organizations.
This recognition supports its ambition to strengthen relationships with international institutions and stakeholders.
From New York to New Opportunities for Cooperation
Participation in the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly represents another milestone in the development of the Institute’s international relations.
The contacts established and discussions initiated during this mission now provide opportunities to deepen dialogue, identify shared interests, and explore future collaborations.
Through this momentum, KINGDOM EXCELLENCE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (NPC) intends to pursue its vision: to develop leaders, bring nations closer together, and contribute to lasting impact beyond borders.
