Wales kick off the new year and their men’s 2024 ‘Guinness Six Nations with a sell-out for Scotland’s round-one visit to Cardiff.
Warren Gatland’s squad play their first home clash, and opening game of the tournament in front of a full capacity, 74,000, Principality Stadium crowd.
This marks Gatland’s second six nations competition since returning to his adopted homeland in January last year, with devoted rugby supporters eager for a repeat of the success and excitement of the Rugby World Cup that followed in the summer.
“The Guinness Six Nations is one of the greatest sporting tournaments in the world and to start the year with a sell-out crowd against Scotland is fantastic,” said WRU Group CEO Abi Tierney,.
“Principality Stadium is recognised across the world for its unrivalled atmosphere and this Six Nations opener is one of those occasions where there is no better place to be, just as our other home fixtures against France and Italy will be at the climax of the tournament.
“I’d like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all fans for their unwavering support. Rugby matters to everyone in Wales and to see the nation unite behind Warren and his team in this way is hugely encouraging.”
Supporters are still in time to secure tickets to Wales’ two other highly anticipated home matches against France, on Mother’s Day, Sunday 10th March (15:00hrs) and Italy in the final round of the Championship the weekend after, on Saturday 16th March (14:15hrs).
The number of seats priced at entry level doubled for this years’ Guinness Six Nations games at the home of Welsh rugby, with the best value tickets now starting from £30 for U17s and £60 for adults still available for Italy.
In addition over 10,000 tickets in the upper tier of the stadium have decreased in price following a review of ticket categories in the stadium last year, and tickets for the best seats in the house have been frozen at 2022 Six Nations prices.
Young families are also encouraged to take advantage of a 50% concession offer to attend the final game of the 2024 Six Nations campaign against Italy, as supporters under the age of 17 get 50% off tickets, a concession which applies to any seat in any category in the ground.
The WRU strongly advises all supporters to make sure they always ‘buy official’ and that the best way to access tickets is always via WRU member rugby clubs.

The platform, powered by Seat Unique which launched in 2022, allows supporters to exchange tickets in a safe and regulated way. All tickets purchased through the platform at guaranteed by the WRU and for each transaction a £1 donation will be shared equally between the WRU’s chosen charity, the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust and Seat Unique’s charity partner, the Royal British Legion Industries.
