Western Cape Gems

22 May 2023 by Alan

Each year, the World Travel Awards Africa recognises and celebrates excellence across all key sectors of the tourism and hospitality sector.

This year, Western Cape tourism offerings have been nominated in 25 categories, ranging from hotels, resorts, attractions, convention centres, to beach destinations, best festival destination and best green hotels.

Western Cape Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities, Mireille Wenger said: “I am delighted that so many of the wonderful and diverse offerings we have across the province have been recognised as nominees in these prestigious awards. Being nominated is great publicity for our tourism and hospitality sector, which contributes significantly to our economy, supporting thousands of jobs.”

Voting for the Africa Nominees 2022 closes TODAY, Monday 22 May 2023.

“I call on all residents of the Western Cape to vote so we can keep our province top of mind for potential visitors and so that our amazing tourism and hospitality sector continues to receive the global recognition it deserves.”

Voting is done online at https://www.worldtravelawards.com/nominees/2023/africa
