Eager to learn who’ll be the best of the best? That decision is up to you… Between now and midnight on 11 September 2024, you can cast your vote for your favourite store or restaurant in the V&A Waterfront People’s Choice Awards. By doing so, you could win a R3 500 V&A voucher to celebrate the Waterfront’s 35th birthday!

The People’s Choice Awards are part of the V&A’s annual Neighbourhood Awards. There are two People’s Choice accolades, one given to the top store and the other to the top restaurant in the precinct, and these are determined entirely by public vote – giving visitors the power to support the establishments that make their Waterfront experience a special one. The final shortlist of Top 5 stores and Top 5 eateries was also chosen by public nomination.

“Congratulations to all 10 tenants who have made it into the Top 5 in their respective sectors. We acknowledge their hard work and dedication, and we thank all the people who nominated them. Now, we’re excited to see who gets the final vote,” says Executive for Retail, Alex Kabalin.

The Top 5 shortlisted stores include:

  1. Mr Price
  2. Woolworths
  3. HintHunt
  4. H&M
  5. Shimansky

The Top 5 shortlisted restaurants include:

  • Quay Four
  • Tashas
  • Willoughby & Co.
  • Ocean Basket
  • Spur

Who do you think deserves to win? It’s easy to vote online via https://www.waterfront.co.za/2024-neighbourhood-awards-peoples-choice-2/ and once you’ve made your choice, you’ll automatically be entered into the lucky draw to win the R3 500 V&A voucher.

Your vote counts more than you might think – it is an opportunity to support the shortlisted businesses and celebrate their success. The People’s Choice Awards honour the tenants who are the most beloved by visitors and customers, solidifying their reputations as the favourite brands among patrons and setting benchmarks for excellence.

The two winners of the People’s Choice Awards will be announced at a gala event on 25 September 2024 where all the Neighbourhood Awards winners will be named. Find out more about the awards programme here: https://www.waterfront.co.za/tenant-awards/.

Subliminal perception is a subject that virtually no one wants to believe exists, and — if it does exist — they much less believe that it has any practical application. . . . The techniques are in widespread use by media, advertising and public relations agencies, industrial and commercial corporations, and by the Federal government itself. – Wilson Bryan Key
