The post YEAR END REFELCTIONS FROM TITANS CRICKET CEO, DR JACQUES FAUL first appeared on Cricket South Africa.

As we close out 2025, I find myself reflecting on a year that has been nothing short of extraordinary for Titans Cricket. This has been a year of milestones, memories, and moments that will be etched in our proud history forever.

Twenty-one years. Twenty-one trophies. This remarkable achievement speaks to the consistency, culture, and character that define Titans Cricket. Earlier this year, we added yet another piece of silverware to our cabinet when we shared the 4-Day Series trophy with DP World Lions, bringing the 2024/2025 domestic season to a memorable conclusion.

Our motto, “Where Legends Rise,” has never felt more fitting. We continue to take immense pride in our ability to produce Protea players year after year – And this year saw that legacy reach its pinnacle when the Proteas, in a commanding display of resilience and skill, overcame Australia by five wickets to bring the ICC Test Championship Mace home to South African soil. It was a proud and defining moment for our nation’s cricket, made even more special knowing that our players and former Titans staff were central to this historic victory.

SuperSport Park has been buzzing with activity this year, and our first-ever Annual Legends Match was a resounding success. What made the day even more special was having the Titans Women’s team play the curtain-raiser, with approximately 1,400 supporters in attendance, a powerful statement about the growth of women’s cricket.

The pipeline that feeds this legacy continues to flourish as well. We recently concluded the U16 National Week, where our Titans U16 boys came out second, showing tremendous character and skill. As we currently compete in the U19 National Week, we’re determined to come out on top, and I want to wish those young women & men all the best. I’d also like to congratulate CBCOB Cricket Club on their success in the National T20 Community Cup.

These community achievements remind us that cricket in our region thrives at every level.

Beyond the boundary ropes, 2025 has been one of our most successful years financially. We recorded a profit that reflects sound management and the incredible support we receive from our partners, sponsors, and cricket-loving community. We also won our sixth CSA Incentive Scorecard this year, which assesses unions across governance, cricket development, transformation, performance, and financial sustainability. This recognition underscores our commitment to excellence in every facet of our organization.

To the supporters who wear the Sky Blues with pride, who fill the stands at SuperSport Park season after season, thank you. Your unwavering support is the heartbeat of this organization. You are not just spectators, you are part of the Titans family, and we are grateful to have you behind us through and through.

None of this would be possible without the astonishing staff at Titans Cricket. From our groundskeepers to our administrators, from our coaches to our support staff, every single person plays a vital role in our success.

To our sponsors and partners, your support has been invaluable. You are believers in our vision and partners in our journey, enabling us to maintain our facilities, develop our players, and create memorable experiences for our fans.
As we move into 2026, we do so with confidence, gratitude, and ambition. There are more trophies to chase, more legends to rise, and more moments to create together.

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.

From all of us at the Sky Blues, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Dr Jacques Faul
Chief Executive Officer Titans Cricket

Gary Kirsten: South African former cricketer Gary Kirsten was known for his composure on the field. As the coach of the Indian national cricket team later, he led the team to their historic 2011 Cricket World Cup win, one that came after 28 years. He has also coached the South African team.

A freak accident ended the life of a promising young batsman from India in 2015. Ankit Keshri was captain of the Bengal U-19 team. Keshri collided at full-force with teammate Sourav Mondal when they both ran to catch the ball. Although he was hospitalized after the incident, he later died of a heart attack during treatment.
