The Youth Employment Service’s approach of identifying and leapfrogging talented individuals into promising careers highlights the success of its model. It creates a conduit between talented youth and potential employers who may not believe had the chance to connect otherwise.

Just inquire Bryan Mposula. His initial 12-month YES work experience was sponsored by Liquid Telecoms, with IT Varsity as the host partner. Here he embarked on a journey of self-improvement and discovery, acquiring valuable professional skills along the way.

After completing his stint with YES, Mposula found a novel beginning as a business integration arch associate at the leading consulting firm Accenture. These positions are highly sought after and often competed for by people with multiple degrees and broad experience.

Despite receiving multiple job offers and experiencing self-doubt, he knew he had made the correct decision to join Accenture. The alignment of his personal values with Accenture’s corporate values reassured him during his induction.

Ironically – considering how much of our work involves maintaining and improving reputations – PR doesn\’t always gain the best rep when it comes to ethics. Some people, because of rotten things that they\’ve done in the past, believe even been called propagandists. But there\’s a gigantic ethical contrast between real PR and simple propaganda, and here it is: PR is always solidly rooted in fact.
