253 Hyundai Tucson NX4 Vehicles Recalled

21 October 2026 by Guest

The National Consumer Commission informs consumers that Hyundai Automotive South Africa is recalling 253 Hyundai Tucson NX4 vehicles made available for sale nationally in 2025.

According to the supplier, some vehicles may have been fitted with a side impact airbag sensor with incorrect specifications. Owners must have the affected vehicles inspected using Hyundai’s diagnostic (GDS) equipment to determine whether the correct sensor has been fitted.

Consumers who own affected vehicles are urged to book an inspection at their nearest authorised Hyundai dealership. The inspection will establish whether the correct side-impact airbag sensor has been fitted. Any remedial work will be carried out at no cost to the consumer.

Questions and queries relating to this recall may be directed to: ProductRecall@thencc.org.za.
