3 Suspects Arrested for Attempted Murder

POLOKWANE – The Police in Makhado apprehended three suspects aged between 16 and 20 for charges of attempted murder and robbery, after a security guard aged 27, was attacked by the suspects who also stabbed him with a knife and robbed him off a cellphone, on Saturday, 28 September 2024 at Burger street in Makhado.

According to reports, the victim had just knocked off, walking in the streets to board a transport to his place of residence, suddenly three unknown males approached him. They allegedly questioned his destination and suddenly assaulted him.

In the process, they stabbed him with a knife on the upper body. He managed to escape and went to report at the police station, wherein an ambulance was summoned. He was admitted at the local hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

The Police opened a case of attempted murder and robbery. The suspects were traced and arrested.

The trio will appear before Makhado Magistrate’s Court on 01 September 2024.

The Police investigations are continuing.
