Apple Music announces Trillion Petals as the latest Up Next artist in South Africa | SA News

Apple Music has announced indie-darling Trillion Petals as the latest artist to join its Up Next artist development program in South Africa.

“I’m thrilled to be chosen for Up Next South Africa,” she tells TATC. “This new project is one that’s really close to my heart and I feel so lucky that I get to create art I care about and share it with the world.”

Better known as the lead singer of the fever-dream South African indie-pop band HONEYMOAN, Alison Rachel now returns with her debut solo endeavour as Trillion Petals, and the triumphant five-track EP “Hill After Pale Hill.”

An amalgamation of analogue experimentation and soaring indie-rock anthems, lead single “Lucky Girl Mantra” captures…
