11 June 2026 – With the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup now just hours away, Bafana Bafana are ready to face tournament co-hosts Mexico in a blockbuster game that has the entire globe in a grip and spellbound.

Millions of South Africans and many fans around the world have sent their well wishes to the South African Football Association (SAFA), the players, the coaches and all the members of the team ahead of this potential thriller at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Thursday afternoon.

As the countdown continues to the highly anticipated kickoff, the player profiles are below:
