Rhodes Quality, South Africa’s well-known jam manufacturer, is expanding its portfolio with the launch of a new Premium Extra Fruit Jam range, bringing indulgence, innovation and quality to the spreads category.

Developed to meet consumer demand for higher fruit content and premium taste, the new range is packed with fruit and delicious flavour, presented in elegant 340g glass jars that elevate any table or gifting occasion.

The collection includes five delicious flavours, a mix of beloved classics and distinctive new blends:

  • Apricot Extra Fruit – smooth and classic, perfect for spreading on toast or pairing with pastries.
  • Strawberry Extra Fruit – sweet and vibrant, ideal for breakfast or afternoon tea.
  • Pineapple & Granadilla Extra Fruit – a unique tropical twist that adds flair to desserts.
  • Strawberry & Blueberry Extra Fruit – bold and colourful, offering a fruit-forward burst of flavour.
  • Ruby Grapefruit Marmalade – distinctive and tangy, perfect for spreading, baking or gifting.

Perfect for everyday enjoyment and special occasions, these jams can be served on warm toast, used in baking, paired with cheese boards or shared as thoughtful gifts. Their extra fruit content and premium packaging align with growing consumer demand for high-quality, indulgent spreads that deliver both trusted tradition and contemporary appeal.

“The Premium Extra Fruit Jam range demonstrates Rhodes Quality’s commitment to delivering exciting new products while maintaining the trusted quality our consumers know and love,” says Maria Soares, Head of Marketing at RFG Foods. “This launch not only reinforces our leadership in the jam category but also provides retailers a compelling opportunity to engage consumers with products that combine indulgence and trusted quality.”

The jam category in South Africa is valued at R764 million, with the glass jam segment contributing approximately R82 million and showing faster growth than the overall category. With this launch, Rhodes Quality strengthens its position by capitalising on key trends such as premiumisation, higher fruit content, and packaging that reflects evolving market needs.
From family breakfasts to weekend baking, Rhodes Quality’s Premium Extra Fruit Jams bring richness, variety and sophistication to every occasion.
