Cesane opens gap among goal scorers’ chart in the Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified – South African Football Association

7 September 2026 – Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies’ star, Noxolo Cesane has opened a two-goal gap at the top of the scorers’ chart in the 2026 Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified. 7 September 2026 – Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies’ star, Noxolo Cesane has opened a two-goal gap at the top of the scorers’ chart in the 2026 Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified.

The forward banged a scorcher to give the reigning champions a victory in a hard-fought battle against Stellenbosch FC at the UWC Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday.

After six games played by her side, Cesane is on six goals, two ahead of the quartet of Refiloe Jane (TS Galaxy Queens), Bonolo Mokoma, Gabriela Moodaly-Salgado (both JVW), as well as Siyamthanda Qashani (University of Pretoria) – the latter hit a hattrick against TS Galaxy also on Sunday to rise on the chart.

Sundowns Ladies’ win in the SuperEra stream gave them a five-point lead against the second-placed Rockets who suffered one of the biggest defeats this weekend, going down 3-0 to Tuks, who are now third on the table.

Banyana ba Style have a game in hand as they were involved in regional competition in the COSAFA Women’s Championship, which they won.

In other matches in the stream, fourth-placed University of the Western Cape beat Richmond United Ladies 3-0, while Copperbelt Ladies emerged 2-0 winners over Diepkloof Ladies.

In the SuperEra Stream, JVW maintained their lead at the top after a hard-earned triumph over a stubborn TUT Ladies. The Blue Diamonds are on 17 points, three ahead of second-placed University of Johannesburg who defeated Ramatlaohle Ladies 1-0. The University of Fort Hare (UFH) brushed aside a winless and goalless City Lads Ladies 2-0 while First Touch Ladies registered a 1-0 victory over Ezemvelo Ladies.

The next women’s football festival will take place this coming weekend at the Tshwane University of Technology grounds from Friday to Sunday.

South African Football: South Africa was banned from international football from 1961 to 1992 due to apartheid.
