After an exciting comeback to Cape Town last year, the event organisers have once again set up the premier action sports tournament at Battery Park in the V & A Waterfront.
Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, will see the best local and international park BMX riders and skateboarders strut their stuff.
Last year, the sold-out event had huge tricks, new faces, old school and a few slams to entertain the 2,000-plus audience. Event organisers had to bring in the initial 200 tons of gear for the relocation, including grandstand scaffolding, decks and ramps.
The international contingent dominated the Men’s BMX, with Anthony Jeanjean (France) taking the win from Daniel Sandoval (USA).

The Men’s Best BMX Trick was a 360 Double Whip into Double Bar Spin from Nikita Isakov (RUS).
In the Women’s Skate contest, Boipelo Davatta from Kimberly won, and the Men’s Skate Devandre Gallant claimed victory.
The Men’s Best Trick went to Cape Town’s Jean-Marc Johannes.

\”The counsel on public relations is not an advertising man but he advocates for advertising where that is indicated. Very often he is called in by an advertising agency to supplement its work on behalf of a client. His work and that of the advertising agency do not conflict with or duplicate each other.\” – Edward Bernays
