CENTURION: The Momentum Multiply Titans have booked their place in the 2024/25 T20 Challenge final with a decisive 19-run victory over World Sports Betting Western Province in the second Qualifier on Friday.

After winning the toss, Western Province elected to field first. Titans’ top order laid a solid foundation with contributions from Lhuan-dre Pretorius (24), Rivaldo Moonsamy (29), and Dayyaan Galiem (28).

However, it was Andile Phehlukwayo’s explosive unbeaten 39 off just 16 balls that propelled Titans to a competitive total of 182/7.

Beuran Hendricks and Mihlali Mpongwana led the bowling effort for Western Province, each taking two wickets.

In response, Western Province struggled against a disciplined Titans bowling attack, quickly faltering to 48/5.

Edward Moore (48) and Oliver Whitehead (40*) provided some resistance, but the team ultimately fell short, ending their innings at 163/6.

Titans’ Gerald Coetzee was impressive, claiming 2/14 in his four overs to help secure the victory.

The stage is now set for a thrilling showdown, as Titans will face DP World Lions in the highly anticipated Jukskei derby final at the DP World Wanderers on Sunday.

This final clash is especially fitting, as the two teams opened the competition against each other in September. Fans can expect an electrifying match to conclude this season’s T20 Challenge.

UPCOMING T20 CHALLENGE MATCHES:
