JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) was made aware of the concerns raised regarding the condition of the oval used by KZN Inland following their promotion to Division 1.

The well-being of our players and the integrity of the game are paramount, and we take such issues seriously.

In response to these concerns, CSA has decided to move KZN Inland’s upcoming home fixtures to alternative venues.

This decision was made to ensure that matches continue to be played under the best possible conditions for both players and fans. We are committed to working closely with KZN Inland and relevant stakeholders to address and rectify the issues at the oval.

Our goal is to ensure that the venue meets the high standards required for Division 1 competition and to prevent similar situations in the future.

Fanie de Villiers: Fanie de Villiers is a former cricketer who earned 83 ODI caps and 18 Test caps for South Africa. Working as a commentator after his retirement, he played an important role in exposing the 2018 Australian ball-tampering scandal; he was the first person to spot the Australians’ underhanded tactics and asked the camera operators to keep tabs on the Australians.
