JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) is delighted to confirm the SA Emerging Women squad set to hold on Bangladesh in the 50-over warm-up encounter on Tuesday, 12 December at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein as section of the Tigresses’ ongoing white ball tour to South Africa.
Leading the 13-player matchday squad is Proteas Women and Hollywoodbets Dolphins all-rounder Nondumiso Shangase.
Experienced swiftly bowler, Ayabonga Khaka is set to produce a comeback after recovering from a knee injury, with an eye on regaining full fitness for the upcoming three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Bangladesh scheduled between 16 – 23 December.
The warm-up clash also features Proteas Women players with ODI caps, including top-order batters Lara Goodall and Andrie Steyn, as well as the recently-capped T20 International all-rounder Eliz-Mari Marx.
