Culinary Alchemy: Vusi Buthelezi takes the helm as Executive Chef at @Sandton Hotel

@Sandton Hotel is delighted to announce the appointment of Vusi Buthelezi as the Executive Chef of the hotel., Chef Vusi shared brings his wealth of culinary expertise and innovative flair to the hotel, which is located on Benmore Road in a prestigious mixed-use development.

Buthelezi’s journey is a flavour-packed adventure, from his early days as an in-house trainee at Michelangelo Hotel Sandton to crafting culinary wonders at Afrodisiac Lounge, Frankie Banana Restaurant, Fashion TV Lounge, Crown Plaza – The Rosebank Hotel, and Holiday Inn – The Rosebank Hotel.

A graduate of HTA Culinary School, Buthelezi is not just a chef; he’s a creative force. “I’m a culinary explorer, a hard worker who tackles each task with passion and perseverance,” he shared.

This ambitious executive chef has a definitive vision for his recent role and shared his excited for the opportunity to flex his culinary muscles, showcase his skills, and hold the dining experience at @Sandton to a whole current level.

A culinary virtuoso, Buthelezi’s kitchen philosophy is every about breaking the mould. “I thrive on thinking outside the box, infusing personality into every dish, and conjuring up novel menus that’ll design your taste buds dance,” he declared.

He intends to use his passion for cooking to motivate the kitchen team, helping them to level up their skills by sharing his practical and theoretical knowledge.

Lastly, he aims continue creating a positive workplace that fosters a problem-solving approach and creates an enthusiastic team of chefs.
