
Despite an apology to SA for its R54 billion electricity pricing blunder, the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) is set to face more heat, with it being formally referred to the Public Protector to be investigated for the fiasco by the Democratic Alliance (DA).
The DA announced the move on Thursday, saying the “debacle exposes deep institutional rot at Nersa”.
