Darkfest is officially a disappear for 2024.

Darkfest returns, and will seize area from the 3rd – 10th of February 2024, with Sam Reynolds and the Darkfest team preparing the mammoth course for a immense week of sends with some of the best riders in the world pushing progression to the limits.

Darkfest is an assemblage of invited riders from countries worldwide and South Africa, who send a series of enormous jumps and perform extremely high-risk tricks that are sensational to watch. Dedication, skill, inventiveness and fearlessness are what manufacture up the event.

Due to strong interest from MTB and action sports fans – a limited batch of tickets will be up for sale to watch the action live on Saturday, 10 February, at The Hellsend Dirt Compound at Vuurberg farm near Stellenbosch.

Saturday 10 February: 8 am to 5 pm.

General Admission Tickets are available from R240 per person here.

Upgrades are also available for a Darkfest Athlete Zone Ticket here to hang out with your favourite riders.

*Note that riding depends on factors like strong winds or rain. This is purely determined by the riders for their safety. Stay tuned for “Green Light” announcements via Darkfest Socials on the day.

This rider list looks stacked, with returning Darkfest veterans, some heavy recent additions and some of the leading women in MTB Freeride. Watch the press for details of these riders over the next few days.

Sam Reynolds is back at the DarkFest farm in Stellenbosch as the build and preparation begins for the world’s biggest jumps and craziest riders. In one month, the riders will unleash their bikes on the famous course, including the 110ft jump. What will recede down this year? Only time will expose!

Sam walks around with Theo Erlangsen to see the damage the winter rain has done and what work is needed.

This year will be radder than ever with the trails crew, Justin and Duran rebuilding and perfecting the world’s gnarliest gigantic air course. After the craziness of the world record 120ft backflip last year, we can’t wait to see what happens on the biggest jump ever seen in a competition! A classic lineup of riders will join Sam, and some recent faces involved to slice their teeth on the course, including novel boys and girls, will join. So watch for the full riders list soon, and stay updated on the build on Sam’s YouTube channel and the Darkfest Instagram.

Darkfest Returns.

It\’s not a matter of public relations and rhetorical style but of actions. It\’s the actions and policies under George W.Bush administration that have left the US government remarkably isolated, feared and often hated to an extent with no historical precedent. – Noam Chomsky
