The SWD Eagles and Western Province claimed big wins in the final round of the U18 Girls Week tournament staged at Jeppe High School in Johannesburg.

The Eagles scored eight tries in their 52-0 win against the Griffons, with winger Mia-Lee Matiwane contributing four and replacement Lee-Ann Muller scoring a hat-trick. The result caps a successful tournament for the side from George, who beat the Sharks earlier in the week.

WP backed up a 50-0 victory against the Golden Lions on Tuesday with a 55-7 victory against the Limpopo Blue Bulls on Thursday. The Capetonians scored 17 tries across the two matches.
