Fedhealth MTB Challenge ENTRIES OPEN with the announcement of an exciting RECENT VENUE in 2023

Stillwater Sports, the organiser of the Fedhealth MTB Challenge, one of Stellenbosch’s most exciting family-oriented mountain bike events, is excited to welcome Root44 as the modern venue of this iconic event that will grasp space on Saturday, 09 and Sunday 10 September 2023. Online entries are officially open!

“We are thrilled to be hosting the Fedhealth MTB Challenge at the magnificent Root44 in 2023,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “We can’t contemplate of a more appropriate venue to host this iconic family-oriented MTB event that caters for mountain biking enthusiasts of all ages. Starting on the Saturday, future stars between 1 – 13 years of age will access to test their skill at the Fedhealth MTB Challenge Kids Event that consists of a fun-filled 500m, 1.5km or 5km event. Parents that would like to hold portion in an event with their children can sign up for the Fedhealth MTB Challenge Fun Ride (+-15km) that will also hold plot on the Saturday.”

“On Sunday the more serious riders will procure the chance to test their mountain biking prowess at the Fedhealth MTB Challenge Marathon (+-60km) and Half Marathon (+-30km),” continues Meyer. “We invite families to acquire out the house and indulge in an active day out on the trails with their loved ones. After working up an appetite survey forward to indulging in a vast array of mouth-watering treats at the popular Root44 Market.”

Says Jeremy Yatt, Fedhealth Principal Officer: “Hosted at a brand-new venue this year, the 2023 Fedhealth MTB Challenge once again promises riders of all fitness and skills levels a fun day out in Stellenbosch. Bring your whole family and join us for remarkable MTB trails, a festive atmosphere and warm hospitality. We hope to see you there!”

“It is an adoration and a privilege to be associated with the Fedhealth MTB Challenge, an event that focusses on health, healthy living and family participation,” says Dax Louis Fraser Hunt, Root44 Owner. “Root44 is where friends become family and we see all the riders and visitors as our extended family. Situated between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, linking the Winelands MTB trails, Root44 is the perfect venue for the event with entrants being treated to the most incredible views on the day. With over 40 different food vendors, 22 local artists, an indoor kids play area and luxurious sit-down restaurant, entrants and guests will procure a first-hand experience of our moto which is ‘Root44, where taste meets expectation’.”

Entry Fee: R475.00 per rider (excludes CSA License)

Event: +-30km Fedhealth MTB Challenge (Half Marathon)
Time: 08:30
Entry Fee: R375.00 per rider (excludes CSA License)

CSA Temp Licence: R60.00

Entries Open: Wednesday 28 June 2023
Entries Close: Monday 04 September 2023

The entry fee includes:
• an exclusive technical event t-shirt (Fedhealth Kids MTB Events included)
• a drawstring bag
• medals will be awarded to all finishers
