[Johannesburg, SA]: Get ready to ante up as Food Network Africa invites you to a culinary showdown like no other in the thrilling new series Wildcard Kitchen. Hosted by renowned Ghanaian-American chef Eric Adjepong, this eight-episode spectacle promises to ignite your taste buds and keep you on the edge of your seat. Premiering Saturday, 18 May, at 21:45 CAT, Wildcard Kitchen takes viewers into the heart of a high-stakes culinary card game where every dish is a gamble and every hand a wild ride.

In Wildcard Kitchen, Chef Eric Adjepong, renowned for his skilful fusion of West African flavours, takes centre stage as the host of an electrifying culinary poker game. With a unique twist, three fan-favourite chefs are invited to Food Network’s test kitchen after hours, each armed with $5,000 and ready to wager it all in a thrilling battle of skill and chance.

Under the watchful eye of Chef Adjepong, competitors face off in a series of intense cooking challenges guided by the cards they’re dealt and their own culinary instincts. Every moment is unpredictable, from unexpected ingredient combinations to spontaneous wildcard challenges, ensuring a riveting experience for contestants and viewers alike.

What sets Wildcard Kitchen apart is its intense competition, razor-sharp wit, and Chef Eric Adjepong’s proud celebration of his Ghanaian-American heritage. As Africa Day approaches on 25 May, the show serves as a vibrant tribute to the continent’s global impact of its chefs, which resonates deeply with local audiences.

Featuring a lineup of culinary heavyweights such as Chopped judges Maneet Chauhan, Brian Malarkey, and Marc Murphy, as well as Italian cuisine masters Gabriele Bertaccini, Rocco Dispirito, and Antonia Lofaso. With special appearances from guest judges Anne Burrell, Esther Choi, and Scott Conant, the excitement and culinary expertise are guaranteed to be off the charts.

Ironically – considering how much of our work involves maintaining and improving reputations – PR doesn\’t always have the best rep when it comes to ethics. Some people, because of bad things that they\’ve done in the past, have even been called propagandists. But there\’s a big ethical difference between real PR and simple propaganda, and here it is: PR is always solidly rooted in fact.
