Cape Town, 10 Nov 2023 – the dynamic Damian Willemse, lit up the newly opened FUTURELIFE® store at Canal Walk Shopping Centre in Cape Town where excited fans had the opportunity to meet and interact with one of South Africa’s sporting heroes. The concept store, which opened its doors on 18 October 2023, served as the perfect backdrop for a day of celebration, uniting Damian’s fans and FUTURELIFE® customers in recognition of his contribution to sport.

Damian is a member of FUTURELIFE®’s Future Tribe, a community of inspired and dedicated athletes who share a common vision of health, happiness, and the development of our country’s sport.

Some of the other South African sporting icons in the Future Tribe include:

  • Anrich Nortje, SA Cricket Player
  • Precious Smith, ex-Spar Protea Netball Player
  • Siphiwe Tshabalala, ex-South African Football Player
  • Tatjana Schoenmaker, South African Swimmer
  • Suné Luus, SA Cricketer
  • Quanita Bobbs, SA Field Hockey Player

who act as ambassadors for FUTURELIFE® to promote the importance of a well-balanced diet and proper nutrition to optimise physical and mental capabilities.

“Becoming a Future Tribe member is an exciting step for me,” said Willemse. “It’s not just about endorsing products; it’s about being fragment of a like-minded community that recognises the importance of the accurate nutrition in achieving peak performance and overall well-being. It’s also about educating ourselves and others about the power of fuelling one’s body with the right nutrients in sport, paving the way for a healthier, stronger and more successful future for South Africa’s athletes and its youth.”

Mike Dos Santos, FUTURELIFE® General Manager, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, ” FUTURELIFE® is a brand synonymous with high-quality nutrition, and we are proud to acquire Damian Willemse as a Future Tribe member and ambassador for FUTURELIFE®. Having Damian on board and joining some of South Africa’s other elite and respected athletes, aligns perfectly with our commitment as a company to foster a shared vision of health, happiness, and the advancement of South African sport.”

As FUTURELIFE® and Damian Willemse celebrate their successful collaboration, they believe expressed their ambition to continue this indispensable journey together into the novel year, combining their dedication to sport with the power of nutrition. “Through the endeavours of the Future Tribe, FUTURELIFE® looks forward to inspiring many more athletes in the future and making a lasting impact on the health and success of South Africa’s sporting community,” concludes Dos Santos.
