The FW de Klerk Foundation commends its University of Pretoria representatives, Ngcwelekazi Dlanjwa and Gugulethu Ngwenya, for their insightful contributions at the recent policy dialogue on “South Africa’s Chair of BRICS: A Retrospective Review,” hosted by the University of Pretoria’s Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship. Their involvement underscores the Foundation’s commitment to youth leadership and advancing constitutional values in global economic discussions.

Gugulethu Ngwenya, Political Officer of the University of Pretoria Chapter, stressed the importance of addressing deep-rooted inequalities within the global financial system. “BRICS is not about replacing one currency with another, but about ensuring that the economic frameworks we develop promote fairness and equity.
