Gainline

13 August 2024 by Alan

Scottish Rugby is proud to be today launching Gainline, a new e-learning platform. This free to use learning hub is for players, match officials, coaches and volunteers to enhance their game.

Gainline is designed and owned by Scottish Rugby, hosted on the Scottish Rugby Management System (SCRUMS) system, which takes over from the previous learning hub, Hive Learning.

Hundreds of educational presentations, videos and resources will be housed on Gainline, meaning there is a near endless amount of learning and value on the platform.

This includes the most recent Community Game Conference, held at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in late May. The conference saw over 450 attendees, and presentations given by coaches and match officials who have experienced the very top echelons of the game.

There are a number of reasons for the migration, including ease of access by SCRUMS users. Anyone with a SCRUMS account can access Gainline through a link on the SCRUMS site.

Scottish Rugby’s Head of Game Development Neil Graham said Gainline had been a long time in development, but was thrilled to be able to announce its release today.

“It is timely to be launching now, as the 2024-25 rugby season is imminent and the hope is that coaches, players and match officials will begin to view and implement the content into their own games as the season unfolds.

“We knew we needed a new platform and undertook to create our own rather than utilising a third-party site. We’re thrilled with the outcome, and we hope our SCRUMS users are also thrilled.

“The ultimate goal of Gainline is to support coaches, match officials, players and volunteers in their role, and to inspire them to continue to learn and develop.”

You can discover the exclusive content by heading to gainline.scottishrugby.org and enhancing your game, no matter your level.
